Cut ten 6 ½” squares.
Novelty children prints are great to showcase
here.

Cut strips of two different
fabrics 3 ½” in width for strip piecing.

Sew strips together and
press.

Cut into 3 ½” by 6 ½” units
and sew into four patch unit, flipping one so
that the contrasting fabrics are in opposite
corners. (Or cut twenty 3 ½” squares each of two
contrasting fabrics and sew up into 10 four
patches).

Alternate four patch with 6
½” solid blocks and sew together.

Quilt should measure 24 ½”
by 30 ½” when complete. Attach to flannel back
and quilt as desired (no tying please).
