My First Quilt by Lisa Jenni - 1st Place

Almost 4 years ago, we moved from Munich to Redmond, WA.  It wasn't too easy.  But then a pregnant friend who wanted to make a quilt for her baby talked me into a "Quilting 101" class.  Since then, in little more than a year, I made 10 quilts.  I am now a member of QA and Running Stitches satellite group where I have met the most wonderful women.  I'm very pleased with my first quilt and I know I have found my love.  Design by Kristine Service, then a teacher at Pacific Fabrics, Redmond.

I Love Cats by Carolyn Becker - 2nd Place
When learning to sew a straight line, I copied Janet Kime's picture of a cat quilt made of traditional log cabin blocks.  I purchased white material and the rest were scraps of materials picked up off the floor at church where we make quilts for overseas.  Quilted by Frankie Schmidt, Dizzy Stitching.

My Favorite Quilt by Lisa Cope - 3rd Place
This Trip Around the World design is the first quilt I ever made.  It took me almost two years to complete because I quilted it by hand.  I've made many quilts since, but this is still my favorite.
