Summer Time At Pickering Farm by Audrey Fisher - 1st Place

Old barns fascinate me and I've fallen in love with the history of Pickering Barn in Issaquah.  This quilt is designed  from a photo that Bill gave me at market of a painting on the Darigold Building on front street.  The cows came out and flowers went along the fence.  Techniques from the book Landscape Quilts by Nancy Zieman and Natalie Sewell.

Morning Glory Summer by Kathy Lee - 2nd Place
This quilt gets its personality from the border pattern.  I wanted a summer wall hanging and liked the clear bright colors.  I worked these colors into the rest of the quilt, and it now has a very different character than the original pattern ("Morning Glories" by Nancy Davis-Murty).  Now I have "Morning Glories" with attitude!

Aloha Wendell and Nancy by Sarah Newman - 3rd Place
My Hawaiian friends the Marinos acted as tour guides during a wonderful Hawaiian vacation.  When In the Beginning produced the miniature Hawaiian shirt prints, a perfect "thank you" was created!  Pattern for the shirts was by "Beyond the Reef".
