| I made
this original-design quilt to honor my Army buddy
Justin William Michael Hebert, 20. He was a
U.S. Army paratrooper with the 173 Airborne.
He was killed in Kirkuk, Iraq on August 1, 2003.
We love and miss you, Justin. (Sponsored by

I designed my
quilt with the help of my friends at quilt camp,
my own visions of my quilt and the input and
support of a great quilter. I made my quilt
last June, when I was 13 as part of a week-long
class in Port Townsend. Quilted by Wanda
Rains. (Sponsored by QA member, Maggie Ball.

This is my
first quilt, which took me five days to make.
I did it at a quilting camp last spring, at age
13. I chose these colors because I wanted
something bright and cheerful and I chose the
pattern because it was simple but pretty.
