Blazing Comets by Klota
Underwood - 1st Place |
 |
| I saw the
'Radiant Suns' Pattern made up at the Sisters,
OR show and knew I had to make it for myself.
However, when I modified the pattern and chose
fabrics that appealed to me, it no longer looked
like suns, but more like comets. Quilted

Kate's 'Wild African Print' Quilt by Deborah Haynes- 2nd
Place |
 |
| I
infected my best friend, Kate, with the quilting
bug 8 years ago. She's made many quilts
but never one for herself, although she's been
collecting 'nice brown fabrics'. I decided
she needed a quilt for herself, but as we differ
in color use, it is sub-titled "Sorry, this is
as brown as I can get". Quilted by Kim
McBride and Barbara Brown. |

Harvest Sampler by Roxanne Carter - 3rd Place |

|
I designed
this quilt for my Girls Day/Night Out classes as
a block of the month project for 2006. Its
12 block designs are 9" x 9", the center compass
is 20". There are two each of the 12
blocks; I added a Seminole border design for the
corners. Quilted by Roxanne Carter and
Linda Tellesbo. |

Circle of Stars by Roxanne Carter
- HM |
 |
|
I saw a quilt
in a magazine 10 years ago and designed this to
be close to that picture. There is just
one block design; they create the stars when
they are set side by side. Then I added
the pieced border to frame the quilt design.
Quilted by Linda Tellesbo. |
