2100 ~ Pieced - Duet

Compass Star by Joyce Trees - 1st Place

This quilt was started at Roxanne Carter's Girls Day Out, in Mukilteo, and I finally finished piecing it in Fishtail, Montana.  It was hand quilted by Martha Dirks, a Mennonite in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.  Machine pieced, hand quilted.

The Hunt by Linda Dills - 2nd Place
I made this for my daughter's new home.  Inspiration was a counted cross stitch pattern.  It has over 12, 000 one inch squares.  There are 4 dogs, 3 horses and a fox.  Machine piece and machine quilted.

Mountain Stars by Roxanne Carter - 3rd Place
I designed this quilt pattern for my Girls Day Out/Night Out classes.  It was a project that they could us the new freezer paper foundation piecing method on.  Judy Irish did the fabulous thread painting the large triangles.  Machine piece, machine quilted.

Y2K+7 by Marissa Vignali - HM
We started this quilt with my husband in 1999, when we were graduate students in Pennsylvania.  It originally was a Millennium Quilt - it contains 2000 different pieces of fabric.  In the seven years that ensued, we got our degrees, drove to Seattle, had a kid and bought a house. Machine piece, machine quilted.
