Sisters #2 by Elaine Laursen - 1st Place

My sister lives in California and we bond by making quilts together with the help of USPS. We both love Sisters OR and felt this project was appropriate for our "Sisters #2.

For Anna by Linda Ostroff - 2nd Place
I played with this Nancy Odom pattern, making many of the images meaningful to my granddaughter. There are her kitties, both living and in heaven and our Dalmatian in front of Nana and Bo's house. The three ladybugs represent our three generations: Nana, daughter Jenna and granddaughter Anna.

Sri Yantra by Beth Hanson - 3rd Place
My friend Lela was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2004. I offered to make a quilt, and she chose this challenging Yantra(a visual manifestation of the vibrations produced when saying the Sri Mantra). The challenge took me about 16 months (I procrastinate when I was faced with the many challenges this quilt provided. Lela & I worked closely with Kathy Martinez for many months developing the quilt design. The trapunto was a fabulous idea and the quilting made it magnificent. Thanks Kathy!
