| Last summer I spent time with my Bestemor
(Norwegian for grandmother) to learn how to
quilt. This was the first time I had used a
sewing machine and I not only learned how to sew
but also how to unsew. It was fun going to the
fabric store with Bestemor to choose my own
fabric. |

| My name is Mikayla. I am 9 yrs old and I
have been sewing for 5yrs. I have made 2 quilts,
pillow cases and other items. I love quilting. I
called this quilt Peace And Love because it
reminds me of my family in California. I hope
you like my quilt a lot. |
